Who is the Dadanaut?
Cosmos
Some time in the 1920s, between Dada cabaret and silent cinema, he appeared: the Dadanaut. Instead of eyes he wears a viewer mask. Everything he sees ends up as a stereo picture on a little reel – and because memories fade without sound, he puts music underneath.
I don't collect photos. I collect moments – with a soundtrack.

How an album is made
-
1 · Mask on
The Dadanaut puts on the mask. The world turns into a picture in stereo.
-
2 · Click!
One press of the lever, and the moment sits in one of the fourteen windows of a reel.
-
3 · Add music
The Mnemophone lays sound beneath the pictures. That becomes an album – cinema for the mind to take home.
