Dadanaut’s album Phantasmagorien is about a young man who experiences things in broad daylight that he is not sure whether he is dreaming or experiencing:
The sun hung high in the sky, yet the mist that blanketed the valleys like a rolling sea seemed to devour its light. The young man stood upon the summit, his arms resting loosely by his sides, his gaze fixed on the vast expanse before him. From this lofty perch, the world unfolded, both familiar and strange, as though its very edges were shifting and alive.
In the shimmering haze, shapes began to stir — phantoms, perhaps, or dancers, moving without defined form. A silent procession of spectres glided across the cloud-laden expanse, imbued with an ineffable energy. Their outlines flickered, vanishing the moment his eyes sought to capture them, only to reappear elsewhere, distorted and evolving, like a dream eluding comprehension.
His breath quickened, a faint shiver tracing across his skin. A tree, emerging from the mist, appeared momentarily as a human arm, raised in lament or greeting. Wisps of cloud morphed into colossal creatures, their forms writhing as if alive, only to dissolve into formless vapour, tumbling into the abyss below.
The world around him seemed imbued with life, a kaleidoscope of light, shadow, and the intangible presence of something greater. He could not discern whether he was dreaming or awake, whether these phantasmagories arose from within him or whether they had always existed, hidden in the fabric of reality, awaiting discovery by a perceptive soul.
A sudden gust of wind brushed his face, scattering the visions like ink diluted in water. All that remained was the stillness, vast and profound, the echo of those images lingering in the depths of his mind.
And now enjoy some Phantasmagorien.
Phantasmagorien was created entirely in Bitwig, with many instruments and effects from u-he, AudioThing, Decent Samples and TAL, on Tuxedo OS.
That’s all because all those people build their stuff for all three major platforms: Linux, Windows and Apple.
That gives you a lot of freedom!
And Tuxedo builds really great computers on which various Linux derivatives can be pre-installed on request.
